Entrance into Jerusalem

Matt 21:9b saying, Hosanna to the Son of David: Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord; Hosanna in the highest [1]. Luke 19:38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest [1]. John 12:13b and cried, Hosanna: Blessed is the King of Israel that cometh in the name of the Lord [1].

This is a prayer of greeting for pilgrims arriving at the temple in Jerusalem (New Oxford Annotated Bible, p. 1229). It is also used in Luke 2:14.
