Jesus teaches in the temple

Matt 21:14 And the blind and the lame came to him in the temple; and he healed them.

Mark 11:18 And the scribes and chief priests heard it, and sought how they might destroy him: for they feared him, because all the people was astonished at his doctrine. Matt 21:15 And when the chief priests and scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying in the temple, and saying, Hosanna to the Son of David; they were sore displeased [1], Luke 19:47 And he taught daily in the temple. But the chief priests and the scribes and the chief of the people sought to destroy him, 48 And could not find what they might do: for all the people were very attentive to hear him.

Matt 21:16 And said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read [2], Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise?

John 2:18 Then answered the Jews and said unto him, What sign shewest thou unto us, seeing that thou doest these things?

John 2:19 Jesus answered and said unto them, Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up.

John 2:20 Then said the Jews, Forty and six years was this temple in building, and wilt thou rear it up in three days? 21 But he spake of the temple of his body. 22 When therefore he was risen from the dead, his disciples remembered that he had said this unto them; and they believed the scripture, and the word which Jesus had said.

John 2:23 Now when he was in Jerusalem at the passover, in the feast day, many believed in his name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24 But Jesus did not commit himself unto them, because he knew all men, 25 And needed not that any should testify of man: for he knew what was in man.

Mark 11:19 And when even was come, he went out of the city. Matt 21:17 And he left them, and went out of the city into Bethany; and he lodged there.

[1]Matthew seems to depict the chief priests and scribes as being upset because Jesus is popular with children. Mark shows them to be afraid of him because of his popularity. Luke does not explain why the chief priests and scribes are upset, and they are only upset about the crowd because it prevents them from killing Jesus.

[2]Psalms 8:2 Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast thou ordained strength because of thine enemies, that thou mightest still the enemy and the avenger. This is from a poem celebrating God's creation of humanity and giving thanks for humanity's God-given gifts.
